Jazz Educator
Educating on the North Coast NSW 2009
I am currently taking saxophone ensembles at Shearwater Steiner School in Mullumbimby, and teaching from a home studio (private lessons).
My Saxophone Quartet (Saltwater Sax) will be putting on workshops along the North Coast and Brisbane as part of our June/ July 2010 tour of that area.
Girls Do Jazz 2007
My colleagues and I have been putting on jazz workshops as part of The Melbourne Womens International Jazz Festival at Art Play (Federation Square) throughout 2007, which lead up to a final performance at the outside stage at Federation Square in early December. These workshops are for girls who are interested in learning and performing jazz on any instrument. The workshops are 3 hrs in length and taken by some leading women in the jazz and improvisation styles. These workshops have been held over the last two years, and received high levels of interest which has sustained and built.
