This album was recorded 13th and 14th of November 2001 and mixed and engineered by Mal Stanley for Jazz Track (ABC). South East is signed to MOVE Records www.move.com.au. The idea behind Southeast was to bring together two families of musicians. The rhythm section being from the North east coast of NSW and the rest from Melbourne.

This album was recorded and mixed over a few months mid 2004 by Ben Hurt at Newmarket studios. 12 Salutations is distributed by Newmarket Music www.newmarketmusic.com. Lliam an I write really different music. I like the diversity of this and I like to keep the interest in the music.

There are three vocal tunes on this album. Two collaborations with Nichaud Fitzgibbon and one with Emma Tonkin. In the cover we have written a small paragraph on how each piece came about. We have also added one tune written by Monique DiMattina “What Summer”. A beautiful moody piece with much contast.

We liked the idea of evolving as a band, and remain open to new collaborations and change. This album was recorded with our wonderful Melbourne band.
